Claude Pissarro working on canvas -
from Le
Courrier des Galeries
|
Back to French
Collection

John Hong visited Claude Pissarro's studio outside
Paris in1993
from left Claude, Lyonel (son of Claude) and John.
Claude was developing a new look - apart from his
grand-father Camille
Pissarro, the large canvas on the easel on left was
the contemporary
look he was working on, and the small canvas on the
right hand side
is the traditional style. I acquired this painting -
showing on this website. |

John was reading and translating a
letter from Han Woo Lee - a prominent
artist in Korea. Eventually John organized a joint
two men show in Seoul Korea.
The show opened in 1995 and the event was sponsored
by Korea Daily News as a
part of cultural exchange between France and Korea.
From left to right
Claude, Lyonel, Katia and John.

to Corinne after Katia passed away,
Claude was very happy and excited. He painted this painting with
large and small sneakers, on the
large sneaker, there is a name of the new born baby Isaak.
