L'Automne en Moret sur Loing

 

Bouyssou captured the crisp atmosphere of  autumn  in Moret sur Loing - outside Paris. The beauty of this region inspired many artists - specially  Monet, Renoir and Sisley.  You can view Alfred Sisley's painting of Moret sur Loing on the Web Museum. In this painting - the brush stroke of Bouyssou is spontaneous, free and sincere.  He just instilled the beauty of the autumn scene in this canvas. Through the bare trees in the foreground you can see the Seine river with the bridge and the train is crossing. There is a barge docked and a couple of boats are sailing. There are trees with the leaves changing colors on the far side.  This is truly magnificent composition with masterly touch - Jacques Bouyssou at his best, crème de la crème.
